For the past week I have turned on my radio, Sounds clear like normal. But after a few minutes I start to get static, and it progresses, it starts to sound like an old knob dial radio out of tune and just before It goes completly dead air, it gets loud like if you were to touch you speaker wires together and then its dead. Complete silence. It doesnt come back. Unless I shut off my head unit for a minute or two. Then It may be clear for a bit or still have static and eventually goes out again. I tried calling Sirius they thought I had an fm tunner and told me to change the station. But I have a Eclipse 8445 with built in satilite and I purchased the SIR ECL1 and antenna for this unit. Also when it goes silent, I still get the station ID. For instance Faction will still be on the HU. I can change the station say to Hard Attack I have the ID but no sound. Siruis sent me to Eclipse. Eclipse said to go to where I bought it.. well I bought it from Ebay. Is there anyone out there who has run into this problem? Or does anyone know what the problem is? I installed everything myself so I know it is correct.
