my problem is i have a hd receiver that some time gives me a sat#2 searching when i turn to a hd channel. This does go away when i push clear or check my transponders a b &c that are all usually around 80 to 90 for both sat 1&2 for a b &c. Not only that when i turn to a hd channel with this receiver my other receivers lose signal for some reason. has any one had this issue or have a clue how i could fix this problem?
P.S. i have an oval dish with 3 lmb with 4 out puts running through a multi switch into 3 receivers one is hd dvr

I must ask, why are you using a multiswitch? Unless you have a couple of tivos. Four outputs on the dish can go directly to 4 recvs, you only have 3, if ones an HD tivo then that one can get 2, if your other 2 receivers are single inputs then elminate the switch and see if things improve. I suspect the multiswitch is your problem, 90% sure of that. What kind of switch is it? Does it have any adjustment for ka/ku? You may need a new switch.

you need a ka/ku 5 lmb dish with a ka/ku 4x8 muliti (powered or not) the hd signial will not pass through standard 3x4 switch. or.... run a single line from the triple sat dish directly to your hd recevier. also check your wall plate. get a wall plate that is directv approved for hd (ie. blue core)
