Hi guys ...
I'm very new to this FTA thing.
I got a Magicbox digital satelite reciever - pre-programed.
My friend got the same thing, and he got his to work.
Here's my situation. I bought a Digiwave 32" single LNB dish first.
But no matter what I did, it didnt work. So I returned that and got DirecTV's DSA-185 (made by DX antennas) dish.
PRoblem is, it doesnt say what the LO frequency of the LNB is on it.
When I do a search on google. .. theres no mention of DSA-185 anywhere.
First question: Does DIRECTV dishes work with other recievers? Or are they only programmed for DIRECTV recievers?
IF it doesnt work ... can I just siwtch out the LNB only?
My reciever can only pick up 10% (which is default) strength and quality.
I also bought a PC card sat reciever ... but when i connect it to that, it's picking up 60% strength and 0% quality - so still no signal.
I've been wrestling with this for a week now! lol
Bought a compass and everything to get the right angle ... a nd azimuth
- 221 + 35 degrees.
can anyone help??
