Now, they're telling us 2H07.
I believe that makes them about 3.5 years late on delivering those 3
channels of low-res cartoons.

That highly reliable resource. Damn, I notice he's MIA around here these
days....
Oh, well. At any rate, 3.5 years late, as I said.

XM's initiative is dead in the water due to their ignoring the fact
there'd be governmental red tape.
Not exactly swift.

Personally I don't see why either XM or Sirius have a hardon for video.
They are a RADIO service. If I want video I'll get Dish or Directv. It's
a waste of bandwith imo for Sirius or XM.

Well the video is namely for in car, but DVD is still cheaper all
around. I'm with you, I don't see the big deal about it.

Remind me again how WCS is doing?

What are you talking about? XM is still on schedule with its video -- quite
a bit more sophisticated than SIRI's, but still on schedule.
I believe they have said the product is ready but that they are just trying
to figure out a workable business model for it.

You said they demoed it using WCS at CES, which, if you didn't read the
news, is long gone. I doubt it's high on their list seeing as they're
having enough problems with their radio service it seems.

In early 2005 they said it was going to be in the second half of 2006.
I wonder if there are going to be class action lawsuits because of
this? They better make 6 million by the end of the year after
reconfirming that they will. Or their will definitely be a lawsuit.

They did demo it using WCS; however, they were not reliant on WCS. They
did, of course, recognize that WCS could run into regulatory problems.
They aren't having any "problems" with their radio service that I'm aware
of.

LOL. I really thought some of Clayton's lies and misses and
misrepresentations was setting them up for shareholders suits.
In particular, the lie about the so-called Toyota deal I thought was asking
for it. Of course, as it has turned out, most Sirius shareholders
apparently still believe Sirius has a deal with Toyota. Perhaps once they
figure it out, they'll decide to sue.

I agree. More radio would be preferable to entertaining passengers with
cartoons.

They should've recognized that quite some time ago, it didn't just come
up on them.

Depends on what you consider problems.

Edmunds.com had a nice review of the 2007 FJ Cruiser which had Sirius
in it.

Just as long as they aren't giving them away along with service like XM
did Q4 2005 with reconfirming and Hugh selling his shares out the
backdoor..

For the longest time I thought video would not work, as a business model.
And maybe it won't.
However, the approach XM is using has a great deal of appeal to me, and IF a
business model can be developed for video, I think they're a lot closer than
the other guys.
The concept of realtime video to the back seat makes little sense. But the
idea of a mobile TIVO where new content is constantly drizzled in at a
fraction of realtime rates -- that could be worthwhile.

Considering Toyota is is installing more Sirius enabled radios in the
new '06 and '07 models by a wide margin compared to xm, this is leads
one to believe, again, that you are full of ----.
