SIRIUS Satellite Radio streamed to your MP3 Player?
Zing and SiriusIntroducing Zing. A software platform that can work
across any type of wireless connection, from WiFi to 3G, allowing
digital media devices to connect to music services or other online
content sources.

According to SiliconBeat, Zing has a deal with Sirius Satellite Radio
to stream live Sirius content to mobile devices. In addition to that,
Zing's founder - former Apple exec Tim Bucher - said a Zing-powered
Sirius device is in the works, but he was not ready to divulge details
earlier this week.

Zing also allows users to purchase digital content direct from their
mobile devices and to share playlists with other Zing users.

Sounds oddly similar to a few features expected for the upcoming Sirius
wearable?

Seems kind of like a music store, streaming channels and social
networking wrapped in one. It's GOTTA have an Indie Music scene, seems
born for it.

It's certainly interesting. I hope they do well.

Hilarious. They can't scrounge up enough signal to deliver Sirius by
satellite, so now they're just switching to wireless IP.

This is great. Frear was discounting the importance of wearables yesterday;
I wonder how much demand there is for Sirius in THIS form factor?

WHERE IS THE FREAKING WEARABLE THEY KEEP PROMISING? A YEAR AND A HALF AGO
THE REGO WAS THE STAR OF CES. Still, no wearable.

I'm starting to wonder if they're even going to be able to deliver by
Christmas.

Indoors it'd probably switch to Wifi, I think this is a good thing,
especially since there's no way a satellite radio signal of any sort is
getting in here. However, there's plenty of wifi access both localized
and distance.

Everyone's home network is a repeater.

The 'demo unit' they were showing for Cnet was a platform demo of Zing,
and not the Sirius branded unit that's coming out later in the year.

I tihnk we're going to see the Zing platform on the upcoming unit
coming out in August however.

It's an interesting idea. If they were publically traded I'd probably
buy a little to hang onto.

We'll have to see how their plans pan out.

It would be a hell of a lot better than Pornero's investment in WRSP.
Has Pornero made a good decision in the last year? I swear Frontmed
and Pornero are one in the same.

----. You fucking idiot. You really have no clue why the WRSP investment
was brilliant. If you weren't so damned stupid I'd explain it to you
myself.

LOL, explain away:

I will admit the performance of Pornero's investment in Worldspace is
only rivaled by XMSR's performance which is run by Pornero. Come on
Frontmed, fess up, you are Pornero.
