I really don't pay much attention to the screen when it's on
my belt while I'm listening to *LIVE* programming. How's
that live portable Sirius receiver working out for you? As
for your "Pop up" statement, it makes no sense.

Really? I suspect your computer functions without a pop up blocker.
my my, online users can use a pop up blocker..as far as i know the function
on a INNO is not available.....
When you are listening to *LIVE* progamming and hear a song and look for the
artists name as well as the name of the song the first thing you see is an
*AD* and may have to sort through the *MESS* to see what you want.
I suspect the ads will first arrive on O&A and migrate to all XM channels in
time.

Sirius runs ads on their wearable, don't they?

Oh, sorry, I forgot.
SIRIUS DOESN'T HAVE A FUCKING WEARABLE. CAN'T BUILD ONE. NEEDS MORE
SATELLITES AND REPEATERS.

Sirius has a wearable, can't get a live signal but it's most definitely
wearable and has use while not on the dock.
It also doesn't have ads, while on or off the dock.
You're really stretching here, Frontmed.

I have a portable XM receiver but all I can get on it is B-Sides in
Western Electric 300 sound quality.

BUTT we all know XM says commercials will display on LIVE action.
You tell me if a XM INNO does automatically or on user preference remove
commercials on replays.

I think it best for others to be aware of any problems XM may have before
they spend $400
on a INNO or any other XM device.
I know I will never buy a unit until I know for a FACT XM ads will NOT
display!

First off, there are no ads YET, and we'll have to see just what is done and
how they go about it.
Secondly, the bigger picture is this is the first time a satellite radio
company has delivered any form of video to one of their devices.
While the 1GB limitation, for now, prevents a whole lot from happening, as
the larger densities come out, the possibilties (including some advertising)
are substantial. Particularly, given the Napster interface (which could
just as easily be an Amazon.com or Walmart interface).
Both XM and Sirius are heading this direction. Sirius needs it more but
can't deliver it at this point.
Good or bad? Who knows. But inevietable. That's for sure.

You weren't going to buy an Inno anyway.
But will you buy a Sirius device that is going to display ads? Before you
answer, you should keep in mind that ultimately, ALL are likely to do so.

If enough noise is made on the bords perhaps no ads will arise on any DARs
displays.
I know you are aware XM had ads on the music channels at the launch of
service but
quickly removed them when XM became aware of one of their first mistakes.
It may be
Sirius never launches ads on it music channels. Perhaps Howard???

I read the reviews of sirius subscribers and saw the bug list provided
by those same subscribers. Then there's this gem:
"I did experience the issue of hitting a big bump (railroad tracks) and
having the S50 "unseat" a bit, thus losing the antenna signal. When
this condition happens, you need to remove the unit from the dock,
power on, power off, and return it to the dock......a bit of a pain.
How I solved the issue.....
I cut out a piece of the soft side of velco (like the velcro that comes
with some car kits) about 1/8" wide by 1/2" long. I stuckthat to the
dock. This little bit of added materil gives the S50 a more snug fit
in the dock, and solved the issue. "

Many devices that seat in a cassette holder could have the same problem:
IE: a INNO, A Cell Phone for example.
I have also read reports on XM products. Perhaps you should read the
reviews of the
MiFi on BestBuy or other electronics vender sites. Lots of unhappy folks
own a MiFi and returned them because of problems like DROPOUTS in mobil use.
INNO is no better
in some reports I have read
You never answered my prior question, so I'll ask again
Do you J Fowler work for XM or a firm aligned with XM?
As for me I have no connection with XM or sirius other than being a
subscriber.

Sirius consumers were spending $500 for newly released S50s that
couldn't receive live signals on-the-go and it came with this:
