I was watching the Carolina Edmonton game on TV last evening. There was a
SIRIUS
blue banner posted at rink side located at the Oilers Bench. No sign of XM!
Could it be sirius just works better in northern canada than dropout XM!
Even though XM gets NHL next year Sirius will still be able to air many
games via
other networks like ESPN!

XM's rights to NHL are exclusive. Sirius will not be permitted to air the
games.

Perhaps, however I think the stanly cup may have exceptions.

The cost of this content for XM was minimal. XM Canada paid for most of it.

ESPN will play alternative content like they do during MLB games on
Sirius.

One more season of non-exclusivity. Exclusivity kicks in with the 2007-08
season, not the 2005-06.
