Looks like the FCC may not allow the ferrite bead fix on the power cord
antenna.
The FM mod on my H2A has a antenna around 4" long contained in the H2A dock.
Seems to me the XM power cord is much longer than required for a low power
FM mod.
and may lack quality shielding?
"1. "Leaky" RF coaxial cables as an antenna"
"3. The FCC took exception with the use of "snap-on ferrites"
In a prior post I suggested harmonics may be a problem with some XM devices.
"6. The FCC request further clarification on the 502 MHz testing"

Seems to me that XM runs on 5 volts DC. Perhaps the future power cord that
may have
the ferrite bead molded into the cord could be replaced with any other 5
volt DC power cord. If so this 25 cent fix (as Jockby says) may not be
accepted by the FCC? Looks to me like XM may require the ferrite beads to
be internal to future upgrades to the radios and not molded to the external
cord and subject to consumers actions. ???
All of the above is my opinion. Kind of reminds me of a Frontmed post...

This was interesting:
"12. Questions about testing at 502 MHz and whether that was in compliance
with regulations."
So I took the time to look it up...
502 MHz is close to TV channel 19 which is 501.25 Mhz
