I had a storm tonight and it zapped both my old Sony B-3 receivers. The fuses are good, but they won't power up anymore. I have a spare Sony B-55 receiver but when I called Directv and tried to swap it out, she needed an extra number that is not on the box. A box ID or something, I can't remember. She said the older ones must not have it. I had the serial number but she needed some other number. Is there a way I can find it out? I really want to keep these Sony boxes as they have a "favorites" option.
