............before you will be considered a new subscriber again?
Here's the deal. We currently have DTV in two rooms, one of those is a 3 yr old DTV Tivo DVR. We want to upgrade to HD (including our DVR) and add two more rooms (one HD enabled, one not)
DTV/subcontractors would do this for free if we were new subscribers, but since we are current subscribers we are hosed. Nice incentive for being early adopters.
Call me amoral, but I think that blows, and I know I'm not the first guy to think of this, but I want to cancel my whole DTV service and start it back up as quickly as possible so i can be a higher class citizen in DirecTV's eyes again. lol
So my question is how best to pull this off? How long do I have to be off DirecTV? How smart is their system? Can I quit one day, and then have my wife call the next and set up the account in her name?
Thanks,
Steve Buckley
