Hello, my name is Mark and I live in Knoxville, Tennessee.

I want to get started in FTA. I am a ham radio operator and enjoy experimenting with electronic gadgets. I am also in the process of learning Spanish and could use a few Spanish channels to help in the process.

I would like to know what would be a good system to buy. I would like to buy a motorized system. I have a few bucks to spend, so cost is not a real issue.

Receiver brand and model as well as LNB brand and model would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Mark

don't waste your $$$$$ yet, the future of fta is hanging by a thread, unless you want to go in to true fta which in that case all you would need is any kind of an fta and a 33" dish and do ALOT of reading
going with a card sharing solution, NOT recommended, too $$$$$ and not reliable
find yourself few fta forums and keep checking to see if there's a fix before you make a purchase
i do beleive that fta is dead just like king dave, king dave sites made a lot of $$$$ with their cards, unlockers, unglitchers, unloopers and memberships knowing that was the end and then all the sites were gone overnight
your call & $$$$$
