New Sportscaster kit -- $135 including receiver at Crutchfields.

Doesn't look half bad, actually, for the money.

Funny, considering Sirius STILL doesn't have a portable on the market, and
now XM is cranking them out like candy.

ROTFLMAO - This is a piece made by Xact and an effort to confuse
consumers with Sirius' highly successful Sportster and its branding.
Remember "Xact" Frontmed? You should, you spent the better part of two
years bashing the company and its so called cheap products. Why all
the sudden, is an Xact product good? Becauise XM has their named on
it? LOL.

Nonsense. "Sportster" and "Sportscaster"? If there could be any confusion
you can bet there would have already been legal action. These are two
different things.

The XACT receivers sucked. I've heard no reports of problems with the
Sportscaster receiver. Have you?

The fact that Sirius allowed XACT to engineer some clunky, sorry products
has no bearing at all on XM, who has engineered better products in every
instance -- from the early Pioneer and Delphi units to the Innos of today --
than Sirius.

I've looked at the sportscaster close up and I wouldn't mind having one if I
needed another receiver.

Xact doesn't make the Sportster. As far as I know Xact doesn't make a
Xact-version of the Sportster either.

Several indicators suggest that 'AGT' is Xact.

Right, XACT doesn't make the sportster. But that has nothing to do with the
legal access to the name -- If there were a trademark infringement someone
would be filing suit.

Controlled corporation.

Rich

You may be "LOL", but the reality is that XACT has been able to turn out a
true portable based on the XM design and they simply could not do it with
Sirius and ended up having to throw it all away.

You may be "ROTF", but Sirius STILL can't get a wearable device out and XM
is approaching 10 of 'em. It speaks volumes.

I think Sportster might be trademarked by Sirius in some form, but that
certainly doesn't mean anything with the word 'Sport' in it is.

Right. There is zero chance there is a trademark infringement.
