View Full Version : XM's Crappy Customer Service

The Whiz

I have (had) four XM subs and two Sirius subs. Not using one of the XM
radios much so I decided to call and cancel. Well I got shifted around
then put on hold for 30 minutes. Hold music came on and off and on and
off. After about 30 minutes, I was disconnected.

So now I was really mad. Had another XM radio that I don't use much, but
was going to keep it around. The 30 minutes wait and disconnect
convinced me to cancel another one also.

So I called the corporate office, told them I was a bit upset and they
sent me to a group that had an American that answered the phone (before
I think they sent me off to Bangalore, India by the noise and the
accents). I told her what happened and said I wanted to cancel two radio
now instead of one. I told why it started at only one and how it got to
two. She was very nice and said it would be taken care of immediately. I
verified on-line that they were canceled.

XM wise up. Using India call centers, dropping calls and not handling
cancellations promptly will cost you business - churn as they call it.

So now I am even - two XM radios and two Sirius radios.
