starmate problems while applying brakes

I have had the sirius starmate replay for about 6 months. Just last week I have begun to have problems. When I apply the brakes or even downshift, I get weird static, it sounds like tuning an old radio. If I press the gas it will go away sometimes. I bought the unit new and didnt even get my rebate, hopefully someone can help me. Thanks.:confused:

Need more info....how is it hooked up? FM modulator? How is it powered (through cig lighter or hardwired)?
