I would rather have that than Sirius' "let's play whatever tired U2 tune we
can find for the hundredth time this week" mentality.

I don't hear U2 on Octane.

I don't either, would probably change the channel.

They tend to play U2 on 1st Wave, Pulse, or generally on The Spectrum.
I don't tend to listen to any of these. Octane is one of the best
programmed rock streams out there, usually it's where my radio is, if
not on talk.

The last decent thing that U2 really put out was The Joshua Tree. They
have a couple tracks here and there that I like alright since, but not
really a great completed album. The disc entitled 'Pop' has gotta be
one of the biggest ----shingles on the planet.

I did enjoy their Super Bowl halftime show though and I think Beautiful
Day is a good track. Probably one of the better Super Bowl halftimes
in later years.

I am not good on the names of certain channels, I just know the numbers. I
have heard U2 on channels 2,3,4,8,9,10,12,14,15,16,18,19,22,24,30, and
possiblly m ore. I channel flip alot, trying to get away from the repetitive
bull----.

As much as I like Howard, as soon as my subscription is done, I am dumping
Sirius. IN many ways they are worse than regular commercial FM because the
lack of commercials allows the rotation to be condensed, assuring that you
get inundated with the same tired crap over and over again.

Agreed.

I have the soundtrack vinyl to the Zoo TV tour. Never touched by a needle.
If they can't put out a good album then they should have the decency to pull
a Buddy Holly, to make my little collectable worth something.

I don't see where U2 shouldn't be on any of these channels you mention.
However, I don't see thats the case, nor is it happening with the same
frequency you specify.

For instance - the last block from 6p-12a, U2 appeared on 15, 16, 18 ,
21, 22, 34. :

Alt Nation 21
Time7:26 PM, for ~3 minutes
ArtistU2
SongVertigo

Classic Rewind 15
Time8:05 PM, for ~4 minutes
ArtistU2
SongSatellite Of Love

1st Wave 22
Time8:35 PM, for ~3 minutes
ArtistU2
SongBullet The Blue Sky

The Spectrum 18
Time8:50 PM, for ~4 minutes
ArtistU2
SongBeautiful Day

The Vault 16
Time9:29 PM, for ~4 minutes
ArtistU2
SongAn Cat Dubh

Classic Rewind 15
Time10:02 PM, for ~8 minutes
ArtistU2
SongBad (live)

The Spectrum 18
Time10:25 PM, for ~6 minutes
ArtistU2
SongBad

Boombox 34
Time10:32 PM, for ~5 minutes
ArtistU2
SongVertigo (Paul & Stuart mix)

I don't see issue with this as there was no repetition of the same cut
of any song. U2 has a pretty extensive discography, it's likely to see
similar happen with Springsteen (who can't sing, by the way), Rolling
Stones, etc.

I don't trip over U2 tracks very often, I'd probably have to work at
it.

I agree with David when I say this isn't the case on //20, amongst
other streams I tend to frequent (such as 28, 45, 50). I do also hit
21 here and there, but have never run across a U2 track on there,
though they played one in the current 6 hour block.

I think Springsteen is a bigger waste of space, at least Bono is trying
to do something globally when it comes to world hunger and the like.
Springsteen just gets up there and injures peoples ears with a degree
of crap that often goes unmatched.

Maybe you can get your fill of Paris Hilton on 20-on-20?

Contemporary Rock. Try to focus.

I bounce through the different rock channels during the week.
The programming is diverse so I'm not likely to hear the diversity I pay for
listening to 2 or 3 channels.

A few tracks crossover, of course, which helps me choose to stick with one
channel over another for the duration.

I think Frontmed had that all lopped off and that's why he can't
appreciate hard rock or metal in the least.
