Not sure what you mean exactly. If you're referring to the 'Click
wheel', Apple doesn't own the patent to it, Microsoft does I believe.
Microsoft has never tried to exercise the patent against Apple though.

The Stiletto only looks like an iPod in the same way any device from
Sandisk, Samsung, Creative, etc. does. Which is to say 'not so much'.
