I can't get 1080i to my HDTV via the HDMI cable. It works for awhile when the DISH receiver is new - then goes away after a few weeks. DISH knows about this problem - it's a software issue in the receiver. It's been 3 months now and it still isn't fixed.

So - since they claim to be able to deliver 1080i via an HDMI cable, and they're not delivering it - I think it's time for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

I've never initiated that sort of thing before, so if anyone knows where to start, please enlighten me!

I have the low-end HD receiver - don't recall the model number. This is the third receiver I've had in less that 1 year of service.

I'll be very interested to hear what the tech guy has to say. Mind if I ask what brand of TV you have? Mine is a Vizio 32".

I had a similar problem with the HDMI cable. Listening to one of the Tech chats the HDMI connection in the back of the box is very sensitive and if you move the box with HDMI cable attached you can damage the connection inside the receiver. I lost my connection and called Dish Network and they replaced the receiver. The new one has been working fine without issue.

I'm using the new MPEG4 HD DVR receiver. As a side Note the latest charlie chat stated at least in the interim no DVR's will be turned off and they expected a favorable decision by the judge.
