I am located on the Yukon/Alaska border and would like to subscribe to Dish Network's Total package, including HD.
I have a Dish ViP211 HD receiver and am using three dishes with Dish Pro LNBFs. ( 2-1.2 meter dishes and one 1.8 meter ). I have 2 of the dishes pointing at satellites 110 and 119 and am getting a good signal from both. I am using a Dish Multiswitch modle DP 34 to combine signals from the LNBFs.
My problem is that I don't know what to do with the third dish. I have been told that this dish has to be pointed at satellite 129 to get HD. That satellite's transponders are all beamed and none of them in my direction. In other words I can't get that bird.
Can anyone offer any enlightenment?

The high def channels on 1290 are on a Conus Beam. You should be able to get them, probably with a 1.8 metre dish. I doubt that the 1.2 meter dish is enough.
