Updating channels

Does anybody know what it means when the receiver displays that?

I bought a previously subbed receiver off Fleabay, played it for awhile, then the audio stopped and I got that message. I immediately unplugged the antenna and power.

Is it the kill signal?

It's not a kill....it simply means what the display says...they are updating the channels. It means Sirius had changed something with their broadcast...could mean new channel(s) added, bandwith allocation changes, etc. This has happened several times in Sirius' past...usually when channels are added.

If you yanked the plug when it was updating, it will need to update as soon as you plug it back in again.

Superstar 221....If you know, what does the kill sig. display or sound? I'm looking for an advance warning, since all my radios were bought subbed. If I can turn them off before they get shut down, and leave them out of the stream for a month or so....
