I am in Naples Fl and can't get transponders 3, 7, 9, 11, 17, 21, 23, 25 ( zero signal on all) on satelite 91W as they are all on a expressvu satelite. Bell leased 2 old Satelites from Direct TV when the new Bell satelite developed power supply problems and stopped working. The DT satelites have a small north south footprint designed for USA that Bell has to aim to cover "north" and south Canada. I get very strong signal (85 to 100% on the rest of the transponders at 91W. I just got a HD receiver and am trying to get satelite 82W transponders but have not got any signal yet. Are you sure you get some HD channels as I believe they are all on 82W and on the other Bell satelite that Bell leased from Direct TV. Bell has a total of 4 satelites now. 2 at each location (91W & 82W). Bell expects to replace the 2 old DT satelites with 1 new satelite in a couple years. Are you sure you are getting a signal from 82W?? You may be getting cross over signal from 91W even when you select 82W on your setup.

Could be dish is not aimed just right. With the dual sat dishes you have to be aimed perfectly to get all transponders. First, make sure the mast top is absolutely plumb in the x & z planes. Then get the long & lat of your location. Then go here http://www.kusat.com/install/look.php
click on "look angle calculator" 2, check "ExpressVu Dual Satellite", enter your long & lat, and get your dish's el., az., & skew settings. Set the el. & skew settings on your dish b4 mounting it. May need to adjust the el. slightly but if you mess with the skew again yer askin for trouble.

Also you have to dial in each sat independent of the other (i.e. bypass the switch) b4 connecting them both thru the switch.

One thing that may trick you...as you scan the az. you may pass a location that only picks up one sat...if you find you are only getting one or the other, keep rotating.

Hope this helps.

A contact I have at Telesat Canada has indicated that the new BEV satellites will not cover much of the US.
