- Dual LNBF hooked into Y (LNBF's are on their correct sides of the Y as it is labeled on the Y)
- Four RG6 cable coming from Sat dish to SW44 (less than 20ft to switch), 2 lines from the sw44 outputs to 9200 receiver (less than 20ft as well)
- I have 91 locked in at 80%.
Now I heard that all I had to do was adjust the skew and that didn't work.
I tried adjusting the vertical elevation and compass direction but I lost 91, so I stopped looking for 82.
On the point satelite screen I switch the sat from 91 to 82 and it changes the sat info from green to red saying wrong sat bell expressvu 91 with the sat strengh of 80%.
How to I get both satelite's on the one dish?
Could it be the SW44 not working?
Or do I need to find the sat without going through the sw44 first than hook it up and do a check switch?

If you are using 82 for HD programing and 91 for reg programing you need to install a HD switcher to get 82. Also make sure your second LNBF is working right and switching from even to odd signal. Make sure you hook up one line from 91 to get reg. channels and one line from to get 82. One other thing you can do is set your HD receiver without going through the switcher. This should let you know that you are getting the proper signal from each LNBF. If the dish is set up right you should be getting a strong signal. I have had this problem before as I am an installer. Also you will want to check your RG6 cable to make sure the ends are on tight and that there are no breaks.
Good luck. I hope this helps you!

I had several problems trying to get HD using the SW44, sorry to say I'm actually relieved to hear I'm not alone. I eventually went out and bought a SW21 (I think it was about $20) switch and it worked perfect. I since attempted to retry with the SW44 as I have 3 recievers but I still get the same results. Unfortunately it is now in a drawer in my garage (which, because of the price... eats me up!).

it could be a bad switch ... i liked to killed my self trying everything ... moving dish ... shortening cable run ... changing lnb's ... ... i could not get the 129 on dish for nothing ... was 60 miles from shop ... i new that the cable run was ? because of the 200' limitation ... 129 was low in the sky ...
after trying everything ... i came back the next day with a new switch & it worked without a hitch .....

Similarly, had many problems with the set up. Going around the switch to check if you have a good signal from each of sat 91 and 82 is a good idea.
We were also getting the “wrong satellite” message with good signals. Re-ran the Check Switch program and it went away.
Our current problem is that we have a good signal on 91 (80%+) and an OK signal on 82 (60%+) for most transponders, however, on transponder 23 the signal for sat 82 is under 50% and the HD programming craps out. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix, other than trying a new SW44 switch?

I have the same problem getting 82. Everything is hooked up proper and I get 85-92 percent on 91. 82 shows wrong sat(91) and at the same signal strength. Ive tried adjusting skew, direction and elevation with no luck.
Im using the sw21 switch.
Now what, can anyone help?
I live near Cranbrook BC.
What is the direction for 82, cause I could try using my second dish.
Thanks

HI all;
Briefly looked at the problem that your experiencing. The PVR has to be informed that there is two sat. Once you have achieved the proper signal strenght from sat 91 go into your system config where you see the transponders. do a check switch check (name is probably wrong) once it's completed it self checks whcih make take few minutes it will then reconize that there is actually two sat and everything will be working as per normal.
When doing the self test don't fret if it hangs at 1 for a while. the 9200 is slow then it will do 32 test afterwards. Hope this helps
