I have just upgraded my television to an LCT3701AD AKAI, it includes an ATSC tuner and off air Digital is breathtaking!
My RCA DRD48RE Directv Receiver / Decoder works great but has only Analog Video Outputs with the highest avaliable quality on the S Video Port. Delemma is, when an analog input is presented to my new DIGITAL television picture quality is decreased due to the extra conversions! (DIGITAL SAT to ANALOG to ANALOG IN to RE ENCODED DIGITAL).
I set out to go with a new Directv DRD, I selected the H20-600 from Best Buys and the HDMI output fixed all my problems with picture clarity, it was digital all the way!
I called Directv since being a subscriber for over 12 YEARS, they sent me a free H20 Receiver, it however is an H20-100.
QUESTION:
1)What is the difference in the H20-100 vs the H20-600?
2)What is the H20-700?
I want to assure I have the latest technology, if it is only a firmware difference then will it upgrade when connected to the antenna?
I am calling upon you guru's out there.
