 In South Texas; been using standard SC Elliptical Dish for several years but signal strength has been poor. Brought a new 75CM dish and installed it beside the old dish. Getting a strong signal but must be on wrong satellite even though receiver says I am on A4. The few video/audio that I get are not correct channel line up, for example 210 is French shopping channel, 311 is CPAC. Many channels show as there but reciver not enabled for what should be one of my paid for channels, ergo must be on wrong sat. Allignment is identical to old dish and as per KU SAT co-ordinates. Spent a lot of time trying to find the right sat, anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks

:) OK, I. solved the problem, tuned to 313 (CTV Toronto) No signal on that channel. Then swung dish left (East) about a Deg & a half and picked up the Channel. Fine tuned elevation and have a very strong signal.
The StarChoice receiver shows 'A4' for both Satellites and this can fool you when trying to align the dish. If CPAC showes on 311 (Free to Air) then you can be sure you are on the wrong sat and need to shift a bit Left or Right while on a channel that shows no signal. Once skew is set you don't need to change unless you need both satellites, IE HD chanels and plain old TV.
