Will a H20 receiver work with a triple lnb dish or do you use the 5 lnb dish?

Don't take this as gospel since I'm not an expert by an means but I believe the H20 must use the 5lnb dish. At least thats what the instruction book says for the H20 I have. As well you will need it for the HI-DEF to work.

I dont know why your manual would say that it can only use the 5lnb dish. The reciever should work just fine on the tri-lnb, especially considering that only 3 of the 5 birds in the 5lnb are live right now, those same 3 birds are the ones that the tri-lnb sees also. The 5lnb is for the future.
You will not need the adapter that comes w/ the H20 for the satelite in feed, until you get the 5lnb that is.

Gee....guess I better shut up on this subject cause I just told another poor fellow he needed a 5lnb dish for his H20. Well, I DID say I wasn't an expert.!!
I've ever only had a 5lnb on my H20 so I'll have to apologize if I steered anyone in the wrong direction. Take care.
BTW....you mentioned an adapter......what adapter?

as per instruction from DTV ... we in New Orleans have been to use only the at9 dish when installinng the h 20 or hr 20.... no exceptions....
mpeg4 is the real reason behind it ....
