I'm researching FTA satellite and if the question I'm about to ask has been addressed in an FAQ or another thread then please show me where it is. I plan on replacing my Dish TV with an FTA receiver when my contract ends. I don't watch any premium channels or PPV but I was wondering if most of the other stations will be relayed via an FTA satellite? Is what I'm planning prudent and is FTA strictly an enthusiast's hobby like HAM radio or does it have practical, sensibly applied value? Has anyone else in the forum ever done what I'm about to do?
