Hi
I ama current bell subscriber and just upgraded the TV to a HDTV. I am looking at changing my 3100 receiver to a Dish Vip622 (from ebay). is anyone using this receiver with Bell? I did a livechat with bell and gave them the reciever numbeer. their answer was that the receiver wasn not registered to anyone and should be able to be activated OK. So has anyone else activated a 622??
Also I plan to use two separate dishes, one for 82 and one for 91 so do i run one cable from each to a switch (which switch?) and then two cables to the sat iputs on the receiver?? Presently I am using the second cable from the 91 lnb to another receiver in the basement.
Any input is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks
Marg

I have A Bell ExpressVu 9200. I have never heard of using a dish net receiver for bell even though there both made by dish. Im not sure how that all would work. As far as the switch goes I use two 24inch dishes to receive 91 & 82 as the bigger the dish the better the signal, and I have 4 cables coming into my switch(two cables per LNB) and I have 4 cables going out, two to the HD unit as most Bell/Dish hd units have duel tuners, atleast all the HDTV PVR's do and two other cables going out to two other receivers in the house. My switch is an SW-44. Now I know that the Dish VIP622 has a duel tuner in it, so you will need two lines running into it from your dish. You can either use an SW-44 if you plan on having more receiver's in the house some day or you can use two SW-21's. Its up to you;)

622 will not work due to different software. Find 9200 - the best receiver ever.
