OK, I've got a plain old RCA round dish - single LBA, with dual outputs. Tried to align the dish - CAN"T find 101. By accident, I came across a single - but it only shows on transponders above 21. Signal strength in the high 90s. Below 21, ZERO ! not a blip! So after lots of reading, it sounds like I'm pointing at ?? 119 ?? I'm in New Hampshire, so I search some more, and find that I need to go east approx 20 degrees, and elevate another 10 degrees to get to 101. Still nothing. Hunted for better then 3 hours, can't get a thing, EXCEPT for that other sat.
What am I doing wrong. I tried to point at 234 / 32 - for zip 03303, but no luck in that area as well...
On the ?? 119 ?? sat, I get the programming guide - and my clock is set correctly, but that's it. Tried with 3 different recievers, and different RG-6 cable as well..
HELP!!

Actually, I can't believe I can get 119 (if that's what I'm getting!)!! RIGHT THRU the trees. 101, east and up from 119, looks WAY clearer.
Thanks for the response!

sometimes it can be tricky ... if your 119 waves in & out ...the trees are affecting it ... espcially on a windy day

My BIG problem is finding 101 - I don't think I need 119 - but it is in the 99% most of the time. If all I get is transponders above 21, then I'm looking at 119, right?? Below 21 is 0%, above that in all in the 90%'s...... I JUST CAN"T FIND 101!!
Thanks again!

Doesnt your receiver tell you what satelite it finds? Post your zip an someone can post your proper elevation an azimuth

OK, Got it fixed.
As I've read - the pole MUST BE LEVEL. The mounting I was trying to use wasn't stable enough. BOLTED to the corner of the house, leveled the pole, set my elevation, and bam! there was 101 where it should be. Novice mistake, but then again, I'm a novice. Signal strength in the upper 80's or mid 90's for all transponders!!
Thanks for all the input, and if anyone else ever has an alignment issue, that pole MUST be level, not close, or in the ballpart, but right on!
Thanks again!!
