I have two Bell receivers at home, one being a 4100. I purchased a second 4100 and a Winegard portable dish for my RV. I only use one system at a time, eg. if camping, I am not using my home system. Bell tells me it is illegal for me to use my RV system unless I de-activate my home system. Any truth to this?
Thanks

Seems to me like BS from BEV. I don't believe that I know a lot of people who have BEV system at their home and at their secondary home and its legal. Why would it be illegal in a RV. The only thing different is that the RV moves from time to time.

HI;
Sorta of true in the sense that Bell needs to know or I should say that they would like to know where the system is. However to bypass this have the second reciever installed at your home activated. Then when you go camping in your RV. just take the second reciever into the camper. You'll not need to call Bell to have it activated as it is already done. If you should travel to the US with the reciever and you have troubles do not call Bell for a fix. they will disconnect your reciever's activation. I beleive that must have to do with some stupid agreement between Governments on sat signals. In most cases you should have no problem going in the northern states further south I'm no sure. BTW having the reciever allows Bell or Even Star Choice to dial in and see where your Reciever actually is. No need to connect the phone line unless you want pay per view.
Hope this helps.
