Have returned 3 Bell 6100 receivers because the output signal using the colourstream inputs- three cables -red yellow green- looses the red signal
Using Coax input I get all the colours
I have switched the cables- no change
My DVD signal gives me all the colours using same inputs and same cables
I keep sending the receivers back but Bell cannot give me any sane explanation
Reluctant to call TV repair guy- my set is 2000 rear projection floor model so its hard to move
The only trouble shooting scheme I can come up with is to borrow another TV with these inputs to do a test to determine if it is TV or receiver
Any experience people have had with similar problem would be appreciated

Hi
have you tried a HDMI cable to see if your getting the same problem. If you haven't make sure you check the tel back end to see what of connection you need to make it work. If the back end looks like a usb port only slightly larger than the tv uses a HDMI cable the 6100 reciever requires a DVI end. There are some tv'sl that do not like the component cables and if you have the problem with the hdmi/dvi cable Send the unit back and get a new one. I have had people who I fixed by exchanging their 6100 with a new one.

You could get a cable that is dvi on 1 end and hdmi on other end,thats what i use ,still same quality.

Hi;
Your right, mikekos1968. That cable setup works great. I was just telling him to look behind the TV to make sure if it was an HDMI plugin or DVI plugin. The older tv at least a couple I've looked at were DVI inputs.

I had a problem with the color on my set up as well.not just the red but all the colors.they also sent me three recievers,as it turned out the problem was with the dish, in the unit that switches between sd and hd. after that it was much better.
