Those of you that want to stay up to date on the 2008 Presidential Election can now breathe a little easier as XM Radio launches a new and anticipated channel called P.O.T.U.S. '08.

The new channel will officially go live on September 24 and will offer 24 hour, 7 days a week, commercial free coverage of the Presidential race. No more waiting to get home to tune in CNN or wait for the top of the hour to hear it on the radio news. Now you will be able to get up to date coverage when you want, anytime.

Unlike conventional news, P.O.T.U.S. '08 will also offer political bloggers and podcasters, turning it into a blend of a journal of opinion as well as conventional news coverage. Journalist Rebecca Roberts from NPR News will serve as managing editor and on-air host for the P.O.T.U.S. '08 channel.

P.O.T.U.S. '08 will also be a free channel, available to both those with active subscriptions as well as those with deactivated or discontinued radios, which will also be able to receive the new channel as well as the normal XM preview channels.

Tune it in on channel 130 on XM Radio starting September 24, 2007.
