I recently upgraded to the dish vip622 dvr . Dish has a feature that for a $39 charge it activates a usb in/out. Giving you more storage. The receiver reformats the drive and it cannot be read by a windows based pc.
I want to be able to plug the drive into a pc and convert and burn to DVD. I can do it now but I have to replay the program in real-time and capture it using an svideo input. For what I’m doing the quality is fine. I just want to save time.
