I am trying to set up a Direct TV satellite dish and am having a hard time undertanding the process. Apparently I need to hit more than 1 satellite here. 101 110 and 119???
1. When peaking the 101 do I start with the dish at the settings given by the Receiver and inputed zip code? ie.. 217 37.5 67 then just rotate antenna till I get strong signal with signal finder.
2. After fine tuning the 101 I then use the tilt to fine tune the 119 signal. At this point do I do something different with the receiver? the book says "select 119 satellite and an odd number transponder on the customer receiver to power the lnb ( I do not understand this). How do I know when the receiver is setr to the 119 vs. the 101.
then there's the 110 which shows up in the list as well
I am sure I am making this more complicated than it is. maybe it is just a terminology issue beings this is my first "dish experience". I can wait for theinstall guys next week but being an Engineer I prefer to undestand what is going on in case the dish get moved in the future.
any help would be appreciated
regards
Rick
