Has anyone seen the new Mitsu HDTV receivers? We've been waiting for them to be released and they keep pushing the release date back. I heard that they are out on the West Coast.

Ive heard the claim from Toshiba that their HDTV capable sat receiver/OTA box would be out some time next century. Yes this was back in the 2nd quarter of 1999 when I was told 3rd quarter, then 4th quarter, then 1st quarter of the new millenium, then, well you get the point... Just dont hold your breath as my distributor has not heard any thing in regards to when that product will be shipping from the manufacture. Generally distributors know before stores as most stores purchase from distibutors. I got tired of owning a HDTV for over a year with nothing to supply the signal to it. 2000.00 bucks for the OTA box was ludicrist and they still are for a grand. I finally broke down and bought the damn RCA with the component switcher that was needed.

Your best bet is to buy a RCA DTC-100 and a vga to component convertor. If you want a Sony, Mitsu, Toshiba HDTV Receiver you will have to wait till after christmas. All these guys are waiting for the new chipsets and firewire interface.
