Will direct tv work in Mexico

If i take my direct tv receiver to MX. will it work ( Oaxaca, Mexico to be exact)

yes it will work but you need to get a big dish, like a 1.8 meter dish at least

hey guys, i posted a reply to a guy from Venezuela with roughly the same answer. now, my background is cable not dss so, is there a need to boost the signal or does just having a biggo dish capture more of the signal and that is all that is needed? I am assuming gangadawgg would also have to take his lnb to Mexico right? just hook it up to a bigger dish as mentioned?
