My son just purchased a new Lexus which has a car radio that is XM ready. The dealer wanted an additional $400 to activate it .The antenna is already on the roof of the car. This sounds high to get XM.Does anyone know what is involved to do this?Is it just a software update? Is more hardware needed? Are their any after market companies that makes what ever is needed to make this work with out paying an arm and a leg. I thought all the new car radios had Sat radio built in.Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
