On 3-29-08 my reception to the 625 receiver started getting digitized. just like when you have storms, only there is clear sky and has been for the whole day. the second receiver i have is getting clear signal so i think it has to be the receiver. when i try to reset by unplugging, it tries to look for 119 but goes to "X" and cannot find a signal. there is no "X" as far as I know. no line of site issues. and no changes in connections have happened recently. please help

It seems that the LNBF may have gone bad.
Run a check first.
Menu 6-1-1
See what the results are.
If things are running normal, it should come back 119 - ok 110 - ok.
Also check the signal strengths as well.
If you have any questions IM me.

you could swap lines at lnb & see if your problem moves

Hello all! I, too, have the 625 and have the same symptons as "ebms1" stated. This has been occuring for several months without regard to any weather issue. Also, the sound and picture "sync" will be slightly off. According to suggested troubleshooting, I'm good to go! Any additional ideas? Thanks!

basically "pic and sound not in sync can be a signal prob if its not a dvr rcvr" as "ebms1" stated you can swap lines from the lnb but it will only isolate your cable and switch prob, and as "LXSWRX" stated your lnb may have caused it, i suggest you call a tech and have it checked since it is intermittently happening and the result of the test is all ok (no conn/x)

Go into signal strength screen menu 6-1-1 and see what the following transponders are
110
14
15
16 and 21
119
14
15
16 and 21
Also go into system info and see if the system comes back good.
