Question about Stiletto and vehicle kit

I am new to the Sirius family; I had an XM that came with a Honda I once owned but that was a long time ago. I purchased a Stiletto 100 for the portability; I plan on using it in my car and on my motorcycle. The question is, can the vehicle kit be direct wired into a radio through an auxiliary port? Do I have to turn off the FM transmitter or will it turn itself off?

You can plug it into the Auxillary port, and you have to turn off the transmitter manually.
