Dirty Dish - Bad reception?

My local and some HD programming died last night. I checked the usual suspects and when I looked at the Dish itself it had a lot of bird poop on it. Is that enough to interfere with reception?

not unless its a few inches thick, just check your signal strength meter and you will know if its something with the dish itself
