i'm having a problem locating and locking the 119w sat. i have two 322 recievers and for some reason i am getting a very strong signal on the 110 sat but it is weak on the 119. it has been my experience that if i lock in on the 119 then the 110 is good. it is almost as if the 119 is having problems transmitting the signal. does anyone have any ideas.

Depends on your location and whether the dish has multiple LNBs. Sometimes the tile can give a heck of a time to lock in. What's your location.

Also, it depends on the switch you use to combine the signals. A lot could be going wrong....

say some more...

i'm in missouri between columbia and jefferson city 65039. i have double checked all of my elevation and skew settings and still no luck. i was using a dish pro twin lnbf on a 500 system with a 34 switch installed. i have had many problems with this system so i've upgraded to a 1000 but i still can't get a signal stronger than 27 with the 119 sat. also, i have it pole mounted on the bank of a big lake facing the water. any chance the glare of the water is affecting this?

Three quick things to check. You may already have but here we go none the less...

1. Check the 119 cable. Sometimes there can be a glicth along the line. Could also be at the connection source. You could try using the cable now on the 110 and switch with the 119 to see if the some remains true.

2. Check your skew. maybe you are a tad off. With the skew, it is imperative the the post is plumb. If not, the second satellite will never line up with the first. So, check for 90 degree vertical post.

3. I was in New Jersey at a friends and in order for him to get 119 he had to put it on an entirely different dish. Problem was that a tree in the distance did not affect the 110 as much as it did the 119. Need less to mention he couldn't get the 129 at all.

Check these things out. from the looks of it though, main problem could be the pole itself.

i've tried a new dish-a 1000.2-and still the same results. i have double checked the pole and it is definately plumb. keep in mind that i'm not using the 129 port on the lnb. so i'm still only looking at 110 and 119. as of now i have a signal but it is very weak. also, the 110 is stronger than the 119 and this makes no sense to me. anyways, thanks for the feedback and if any more ideas i'd love to hear them. thank you.

Are you on a pole mount because you don't want it on your roof or because you have trees? If you have trees, then you are probably hitting a tree unless there is something wrong with the lnbf.
