"antenna" prompt

I just received my second xm express with sure connect antenna. This one as well as the first keeps showing an "antenna" prompt. I tried the regular xm antenna and it works fine. Even though the sure connect does not come with install instructions, it looks like a no brainer. I can't believe the second unit is bad also, so it must be the connection. Can my truck antenna go bad even if I get great reception on my FM radio? Calls to tech support have not helped at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
