322 receiver instead of 311

i have a single dish 500 that points to 65.1 wiht 311 standard receiver. I bought a new receiver 322 that takes two satellite (while i have only one). I put cable from dish to "satellite 1" input on the receiver. i cannot get signal on 322 receiver. it does not even see if if have satellite attached to it.

Is it correct? Can i use receiver 322 wiht one satelite?

any suggestion?

i dont see why you cant use it ... did you run check switch

i did. it does see one satellite 65.1 that is correct, but does not catch the signal. On transponder 18 and anotherone, the signal bar goes up, stays for couple seconds and disapear. The dish is mounted good. if i plug in my old receiver, the sigla strenth is above 75%.

when you do check switch or .. go to check switch ... what does it say about "switch detected"

the lnb on your dish ... does it say DP .. OR Dish pro or dp plus or dish pro plus...is it a twin lnp or single or 2 singles... what connection are on it ... 1 , 2 , or 3 connections ... what are they labled

it's called DP. i don't know what dish do i have. i think it is regular nothing extra in it. i have single lnp and it is on connection 1.
