I don't know if the problem I have is related to my DN service but I figure this is a good place to start asking for help. Monday this week, July 6, I started watching CNBC as I always do when I get up in the morning. I noticed that the picture appeared to be magnified-that is, it was all of a sudden larger, slightly distorted and the on-screen items (like the charts that CNBC has on the lower-right) were partially cut off on the sides of the screen. At first I thought I was having a bad dream but going to several HD channels gave me the same type of display. This took me completely by surprise as I had watched the Wimbledon finals on both Saturday and Sunday and there was no problem at the time. The other best way to describe this is something I experienced some time ago: I changed the screen resolution on my computer screen from 1024X768 to 800X600 and then also changed the font size to large. These two acts "pushed" the windows way out past the edges of the screen and made the rest of the display bloated or ballooned. THAT is what my picture looks like. ALSO--I have watched several NON-HD stations and the picture is quite normal. So at least (I think) that should rule out any television malfunction. I have a Pioneer 53" plasma TV, the Dish VIP722 receiver. I have monkeyed with the display settings for the TV, all to no avail. I have also done the same with the settings on the receiver-also to no avail. I live in the greater Atlanta area and invite comments, questions and/or assistance from anyone willing to put in the time. Thanks for your help. I will be checking the thread several times a day, so if you need more information, please be patient and I will respond.
