I bought a receiver in Miami and I have it working right now in toronto with 2 antennas pointing to 119 and the other one to 101. I do not get the local channels from Miami, I tried to re-do the configuration and addressed the receiver to a buffalo zip code now it says that all the local channel are not available in my area and they still have the miami names. Is there any way that i can get the local channels from toronto with a Directv account based in Miami.
Thank you very much and i appreciate the help

Nope. Not unless you change the billing address. You get the locals from where the receiver is supposed to be located.

What that means is that the local channels are determined by zip code, and that the selected channels are sent on narrow spot beam signals that only hit the selected area and not anywhere else. IOW NY channels only hit NY, Miami channels only hit Miami, etc.
