I have read some posts in here and more in other places that the dtc-100 was affected by the new upgrade that was just sent out. I realize this upgrade was mostly for firmware but apparently some loss use of the H car .

Since I amaconsidering buying a dtc-100, I woud like to know if someone can tell me if this upgrade indeed in causing the H car to no longer work.

If this is the case will the receiver still receive theaupgrade (the part that makes the H car stop) if the receiver is new and no HU car is ever put in.

I owned a dtc-100 for a few months and the H car worked fine. But I woud like all theainfo. I can get on what is happening withathis upgrade.

Thanks

YES - My DTC-100 was upgraded yesterday and now I get the 752. I have NEVER had an HU car in it, it has allways had the H car .

No more free HDTV for me, looks like I'll be going back to the od SONY unit.

Same happened to my DCT-100. Never had a HU in it and it took the updates (downgrades) H car is getting 752 message now.

On a "Plus" note. I have only had this reciever for 1 week, an was able to return it to the store I bought it from. I will never buy anothier RCA system again.........
