I currently have three DTC-100's with two that took the hit before I coud modify. Friday I purchase two ProScan (PSHD105) units from a expo co. that displays Thompson products. The software (upgrade) version is 408. Not taking any chances I immediately eeprom modified both units.

The problem is the units are displaying local L.A. chans an not able to receive 199,509 or anything above 900's. I made sure all the options were enabled ie., all chans selected, oval dish etc. Is anybody familiar with the sofware version 408? Or do I just need to be patient an let the unit remap.

If I remember correctly, when I bought my first units in mid 99, I was getting 900's an locals but no HD because Dave had turned them on yet and it stil require an update.

Any input woud be appreciated.

hwac,
I already had two DTC-100's in place since 99 and was testing two new PSHD105. One of the Proscan's works identical to the DTC but the other doesn't. It acts as if the HD switch is not turned on. I tried changing transponders. Good signal strength. My guess is the unit hasn't been in the datastream prior to the early updates(oct 99). Thanks.

bemis, when you did the mod on your ProScan (PSHD105), did you see two Sharp eeproms instead of one? I opened my brother's Proscan the other day and I saw two. So when you did the mod did you just ground both pin15 on each or did you just ground just one? If you grounded just one, then which one?
thanks
