Ragdoll,
This is going to so nd incredibley corney but its 100% true. All I ask for this Christmas is for my kids to have a wonderful one. I'd much rather gifts for them than for myself. This is a holiday for kids. I am spending every dime I have on them this year to try to get everything on their list. If I want or need something I just go out and get it. No big deal for me. But to see my daughters' faces light up on Christmas morning,,,, that will be my gift.

Angel27, take her to see the Grinch, that will explain everything. :)

It's really strange about kids (I guess depending on their age) My 5 year old di n't get everything he wanted last year but he was happy as hell about what he di get. Did yo ever see a kid light up about a pack of Scooby Doo underware??

He di ask about the things on his list that Santa di n't bring and I told him that sometimes yo don't get everything yo want when yo want it, but if yo r good and yo really want something in time yo 'll get it. Sure enough, by March all his list was complete (and those "after Christmas sales" saved me HUGHE bucks too) LOL.

Good Luck.

Angel,
Hi! That doesn't sound corny at all! As a matter of fact I think it shows what kind of person yo are!!!

I love Christmas it's my favorite holiday and it's my birthday! I have always loved that too. No matter what, everyone I love and care about are always off work, and hopefully with me and celebrating!!! But I agree with all of yo , there is nothing like the look on yo r kids face on Christmas Morning!!! And I never mind going without to see her get what she wants or needs on that day!!! Now she's in the terrible teens and I'm running out of i eas for her. She turned 16 this fall and got a car for her birthday so what next??? But I'm with all of yo I want her to have a great holiday, which in turn makes me have one!!!

But there's nothin like the little ones!!! Boy do I miss that!!!

The magic had gone out of Christmas for me many years ago, I had gotten to the point where I coud n't stand the thought of the "holidays" I turned into the grinch himself, slowly, as I got older, I had stopped giving and stopped enjoying. I spent less and less time with my loved ones. One year I was alone on xmas day. I looked around and thought, "see, there is noone here for me, nobody gave me anything, nobody invited me over, oh poor me!" I realized that I had alienated myself from all the cheer and all the smiles and all the laughter. I had made it obvious to all but myself that I di n't care to feel good, I di n't want to enjoy the holidays. I knew what I had done, but felt helpless to change it.
My life changed dramatically one February morning, five years ago. My son was born, I don't know what I di to deserve such a wonderful present, but I can honestly say that he saved my life. I had never felt so alive. Everyday was joy, sometimes a challenge sure, but my little guy was so loving, so innocent. I had gotten a new lease on life. Only through the unconditional love that I now felt (for the first time in my life) was I resurrected. I know it may sound like exaggeration, but it absolutely is not. I really don't think I woud have snapped out of the descending spiral of depression if that little piece of go ha n't entered my life.
Now, I can't wait for the holidays, The magic has returned. I am the first to arrive at parties and gatherings, the first to start my shopping. I live for the looks and actions of my little 5 year old. And everday with my son is a celebration of the life I came to close to throwing away. The holidays are happy once again.

What do I want for Christmas, Nothing, nothing at all.
that is, nothing that I don't already have.

Thank yo Nick, I love yo . Dad.

Buy them online. I've scored a PS2 on launch day, then my friend wanted one and again I scored on for him.

Then for difficult stuff like Concert tickets, I just write a script to notify me when they become available. What are yo looking for?

Quad, yo made tears come to my eyes, ladies, yo are good mothers, yo r children shoud be proud to have parent(s) or grandparents like yo . Sam, yo 're a cool dude, bet yo want a drum set for Christmas or amp and speakers for yo r wheels.

What do I want? My story is like Quads, only, I'm past the troublesome years of raising children. My son finally has a decent job, is now 27 and happily married and we get to babysit their dogs.

I don't need much anymore, I'm so thankfull to be able to live and grow up in this country. I get a great deal of pleasure from the other people around me and just reading threads like this, yo are really a nice bunch of people.

I too am hoping that all goes well for my little ones at christmas. I have a daughter that is 9 and my son is 5 and christmas lists were in the making before the beginning of summer. I am thankful that nothing they ask for was on the hot list this year. What to do this year though, who knows. My son is hooke on power rangers (which yo can't find anymore) and nintendo 64 games and my daughter does nothing but read so I am searching trying to find something for them and other than a few odds and ends, it's hard. Anyhoo, christmas is for the little ones and I'm sure that there will be smiles on Christmas morning.

Cooperhill girl, I can't believe yo enjoy yo r birthday being on Christmas. Mine is on the 28th and growing up I hated it. It's not bad now but when I was little and everyone combined christmas and my birthday, yo bet yo r booties I was mad. :)

Happy Holidays everyone!

I do/did love it! Although life was far from perfect I (with the help of my parents) always had a birthday party right in the middle of all the chaos. It was a hoot! Never had to go to school, everybody was always in town, everybody was always dressed up, lot's of presents, I'm sure not all for me, but when yo r little who cares, I felt like it was for me!!! :D

Sorry yo all didn't/don't like it more!!!

Hey Quad yep I used it and almost went to Mayberry jail,(sorry Muggles). I guess I should of heeded the disclaimer on the box. he he he.....Sam, my daughter is now 5 and yes I like to think she is very be-ut-ti-ful....but my husband and I didn't exactly split up. He was killed by a drunk driver 11-23-96, my daughter was 1. And before the outpouring of sympathies please no one feel bad....It is a demon I have fought and won. I would like to think everything happens for a reason,(I haven't figured out one for this screwed up situation yet) that way I don't tell the almighty to F off. (No Muggles not you, the other Almighty) :D (By the way that was meant to be an amusing friendly joke)

Nope, you really need an animation editor to make it easy, you can use paint shop but you have to disassemble the gif and do each frame and them reassemble them, alot easier to use something like Animation shop, it works with paint shop and even exports and imports to paint shop. I just started using it the other day. It is a piece of cake.
I am using animation shop 3.0. Don't know if it is the latest version, but it works fine.

I have always enjoyed the expressions on my kids faces on Christmas morning. And I have one son that is probably older than most of you out there typing. But along with the toys and gifts, I have always taught them that, as I was taught and raised, what the true meaning of Christmas is.
