Anyone hear anything about Lindros and the Maple Leafs? I'm here in the Philly area and a huge Flyers fan, unfortunatly, we have a sap like Bob Clarke as a GM who won't get up off any info. Please help. Also I heard a rumour of Toronto hockey sweaters floating around up there with 88 and Lindros on the back. Anyone?

Hi E-88.
Personally i don't want Eric on the Leafs, I think next to Mats Sundin he is the most overrated player in the NHL, plus him and his family are a cancer to the team. For info on him check these sites: TorontoStar or Fan590 just put the http://www. before and the .com after. (I don't know if they allow links here).

Oh, one other thing, the Toronto Sun newspaper had EL on the cover today and several articles. You can access it at
Canoe. Use http://www. in front and .ca in the rear.

Not only don't the Leafs want Lindros, if he had any sense in his head (I realize, it might have been knocked clear out of there by now  )..He shouldn't even be considering getting back on the ice.....Maybe he should listen to his brother, there is more at stake here than his game..........
E-88.....Leave Bobby Clarke out of this, he was a great player and is a hell of a nice guy......... :) Though I would have liked to throttle him when he let Terry Murray go :BA
scrapster...We are in agreement, so much potensial out of the gate, then :SL

I can't help thinking what a mess Eric and his father have made of his career. Compare him to #99 who gladly went to Edmonton and helped build a dynasty, never complaining. Lindros was a incredible talent but his attitude is terrible. #1: if he had of went to the Sault in junior, who knows who would have drafted him in the NHL draft. #2: If he had of went to Quebec he probably would have won a couple Stanley cups not to mention the individual honors.
What is and what could have been. He is hated by most players in the NHL, and feared by coaches and managers as a trouble maker. Regarding $ he has averaged about 65 games throughout his career, has never scored over 47 goals or 115 points. He is injury prone with a history of concussions. The reason he gets hit is he skates in open ice with his head down, I don't see that changing.
Although I never like Clarke much, I respect his hard working overachieving attitude when he played. Lindros isn't half the man or hockey player Clarke was. I hope Clarke screws Eric as bad as he has screwed the Flyers.

lindros won't be playing hockey anytime soon, Clark is holding all the cards. he's not going to give lindros for nothing (like the phils did for schilling). Lindros's family, his attitude, and his inabilty to take a hit any harder then then a love tap make him more of a liability
then a superstar. not to many teams are going to take that big a chance.
