There is so much talk and confusion of what to do on a DTC STB. I've read lift pin 15 and ground! Lift pin 15 and 56 and then ground. Then there is leave pin 15 in tact and solder a wire to it and then to a ground. I did the last, leave 15 alone, solder .30 gauge to it and then run wire to a ground on the board. Ground I picked was labeled with an anchor. Have'nt had a chance to receive an update. My question is, has anyone just leave pin 15 as is and just run a ground to it? And, did it stop the firm update?

Thanks 4 the reply hwac! I feel better knowing someone else did the mod as mine with success. I can't beleive that I'm more excited to have an updated scheduled now. We'll see tomorrow @ 4am.

Yah, I've been told that in the past. Just want to make sure that my hand shaking while soldering paid off. Man, when someone else posted you needed hands of a surgeon to do this mod, was not kidding. My wife asked me if I was nervous doing it with all the shaking. Piss me off she did!
Any way, the update was unsuccessful. You had some great input on achieving this and a big thanks buddy.
