New HD receiver

Does any one know if an H card will work in the new Hughes/Mitsubishi SR-HD400/500 HDTV Receiver?

They will be available on the 15th, and I am ready to buy one, if the H card works.

Ya, where did here this was going to finally come out. I have been waiting for many months only to here it pushed back 8(eight) times!!! I will believe it when it hits the stores.

You can be assured the Hughes will come updated not to take an H-Card. It's almost a given because of their relationship to Dave.

The Mitsubishi should be out by january '01

I was told that the local Tweeter store is getting a shipment of 800 units on Jan. 4 of the Mitsubishi HD-500. If you have a first generation Mitsubishi HDTV, you will also need to buy the $300 RGB converter box.

I e-mailed Mitsubishi about the introduction of the HD-500.
Their reply was Dec. 15th.
