Ok..I know..."What the he!! does this have to do with D$$?" NOTHING, I say. But what else is going on? Ok...let's post original works only...this can be from kindergarten all the way through college or just something you scribbled down on a napkin. ANYTHING goes! Let's see what kind of talent we have out there!

OK this is from my party days:D me and a friend wrote it on a 2 day bender.
Drugs are happy, Drugs are fine
A little Beer, A little Whine
Drink a little, Toke alot
Kentucky Straight and Golden Pot
Miller, Pabst, a nice glass bowl
feeling happy, out of control
Get the munchies, Make a run
Nacho doritos, lets have fun
Feeling happy, Feeling fine
A little beer and a little whine...GL

I believe the general rule
That every poet is a fool,
But I'm here with proof to show it
That every fool is not a poet!

I've tried so many ways to show how much I Love You
I've spent so many days trying to get my feelings trhough
I just wish you knew how much, how much I really care
I just want you to love me baby, just love me if you dare
Love is a strange game
I always feel its pain
But I keep trying to play
You know love is a game because you can win or lose
I tell you theres noone to blame No facts no figures no clues
Now baby what can I do but pray that you'll be mine
I wish it was just me and you, my love grows stronger with time
Love is a strange game
I always feel its pain
but I keep trying to play
As the seasons change my love still stands for you
People tell me everyday that theres nothing I can do
I dont listen to what they say, I just keep on going
Its hard when I see you everyday and I know my love is showing
Love is a strange game
I always feel its pain
but I keep trying to play
Now my song is near its end, and I hope my message is heard
Someday maybe we'll be more than friends it only takes one word
And someday if these thoughts come true, you'll know just how I feel
We'll be together just me and you, this time it will be real
Love is a strange game
I always feel its pain
But I kepp trying to play

this isn't original by me or anything but I always have liked it, it is a poem made into a song by a guy named Paul Williams I meet this guy once while sky diving and he told me how he used to write poetry and then a friend told him to start singing the poems and he would be famous. he had a nice little career in the 70's and early 80's with his most memerable performance in Smokey and the Bandit he played "little Enis Burrdette"
It is called "Beauty and the Beast"
Half asleep I hear a voice,
Is it only in my mind,
Or is it someone calling me,
Someone I failed and left behind,
To work it out I let them in,
All the good guys and the bad guys that I've been,
All the devils that disturbed me and the angels that defeated them some how,
Come together in me now.
Face to face I greet the cast,
Set in silence we begin,
Companions in an empty room,
I taste their victory and sin.
To work it out I let them in,
All the good guys and the bad guys that I've been,
All the devils that disturbed me and the angels that defeated them some how,
Come together in me know.
A tale of beauty and the beast, I defend my soul from those who would accuse me,
I share the famine and the feast,
I have been the world and felt it turning,
Seen the jester yearning to amuse me.
Like a circus on parade,
Seldom close enough to see,
I wander through and angry crowd,
And wonder whats become of me.
To work it out I let them in,
All the good guys and the bad guys that I've been,
All the devils that disturbed me,and the angels that defeated them some how,
Come together in me know.........................

The National Poetry Contest had come down to two semifinalists. A Yale graduate and a Redneck from Texas. They were given a word, then allowed two minutes to study the word and come up with a poem that contained the word.
The word they were given was "Timbuktu". First to recite his poem was the Yale graduate. He stepped to the microphone and said....
"Slowly across the desert sand"
"Trekked a lonely caravan"
"Men on camels, two by two"
"Destination---Timbuktu."
The crowd went crazy!!!!! No way could the redneck top that, they thought. The redneck calmly made his way to the microphone and read....
"Me and Tim a huntin went"
"Met three -----s in a pop up tent"
"They were three, and we was two"
"So I bucked one, and Timbuktu."
The redneck won hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!
